The Story
I was watching an NBA basketball game being played in Canada. When the American national anthem was played our best friends and neighbors, Canadians, booed. I had to let that sink in.
Canadians. Booed!
I understood the sentiment and empathized but also wanted to explain something. We are a country of about 316 million people with pride in the lofty ideals that we inherited from our founding. Those ideals are not always well represented by those who represent us. But we are still here and He Is Not Us.
